Farasute Houre Sautante

After buying my first jumping hour, intrigued by the Nicolas And Wonderhorst x MAEN Watches Grand Tonneau collaboration, and before diving into the vintage world, I bought a few modern jumping hours, and this was the first one.

The Farasute Heure Sautante uses a fairly different design — a more classical, regulator-style take on the complication.

Inside, it runs on an automatic Hangzhou movement (the 5311) that executes the instant jump in a snap that vintage watches have long lost. This watch doesn't use a minutes disc, but a central minute hand and a sub-seconds dial over the fan-textured dial face.

It's a cool piece from Farasute — a microbrand out of Asia that focuses on making traditional mechanical complications accessible, without the Swiss price tags.
