Found this piece on a recent trip to the city of Rosario in the province of Santa Fe. This 1970s Renis Geneve jump hour, sits nicely on a custom handmade leather strap. Renis was a Swiss brand known for experimental aesthetics of the 1970s before the quartz crisis shifted the industry. This watch is a perfect example of their daring design identity, featuring a highly peculiar, asymmetrical polished case that wears almost like a retro-futuristic helmet. Mechanically, it runs on a Tenor Dorly 17-jewel automatic movement, uniquely incorporating a date window at the top alongside the jumping hour and trailing minutes discs. These vintage digital mechanisms can sometimes be stubborn to adjust, but still fun.
