Tissot
A clean late-1980s Tissot Seastar N580 with classic silver dial and slim Swiss quartz construction.
A late-1980s Tissot Seastar N580, a slim Swiss quartz model from a period when the Seastar name was also used for understated everyday and dress watches rather than the predominantly sport/diving identity associated with the collection today.
This example has a clean silver dial with applied baton markers, a date window at 3 o'clock and a stainless-steel case and bracelet. The dial is marked N 580 and Swiss T at 6 o'clock.
Period examples of the N580 are documented with Swiss ETA quartz movements, and an apparently unworn example dated 1989 is recorded with a 34 mm stainless-steel case and sapphire crystal. I have not yet opened this particular watch, however, so the exact ETA caliber should remain unconfirmed until the movement is inspected.
Reference: N580 (exact case reference to be confirmed from caseback) Dial: silver dial with applied baton markers, minute track and date at 3 o'clock Crystal: sapphire crystal (subject to confirmation from the caseback/reference) Bracelet: stainless-steel bracelet Functions: hours, minutes, seconds and date
