This is one of those vintage watches that feels a level above the ordinary the moment I put it on my wrist.

The first-generation Omega Genève Dynamic is unmistakably a product of the late 1960s, but its design still feels remarkably fresh. The large elliptical case was conceived around the wrist rather than simply as a conventional round watch case, and despite its dimensions it wears beautifully.

What really makes this example for me is the dial. The concentric blue and silver design has enormous depth, while the orange seconds hand provides exactly the right amount of color. Together with the unusual case and steel bracelet, it creates a watch that is immediately recognizable without being flashy.

The Dynamic was Omega experimenting with a much more modern approach to watch design, and this automatic date example captures that period perfectly. It is bold, slightly unconventional and unmistakably vintage, yet it doesn't feel dated.

I love this watch. Among the many affordable vintage watches in my collection, this is one that feels genuinely special, both in the quality of its design and in the way it wears.
