Doxa Anti-Magnetique Jumbo 38 mm

At 38 mm, this Doxa was unusually large for a watch produced in the 1950s, which explains why watches of this type are often described today as “Jumbo.”

The cream dial combines applied Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 with faceted markers at the remaining hours. A detailed outer minute track surrounds the dial, while the DOXA and ANTI-MAGNETIQUE signatures sit beneath 12 o’clock.

The watch uses a manually wound Swiss mechanical movement. Without a movement photograph, I prefer not to assign a specific caliber.

Its 38 mm diameter is perhaps its most surprising characteristic. Despite being around seventy years old, the dimensions make it wear much more like a modern watch than many of its contemporaries.
